Coltivazione rose in vivaio specializzato.
Azienda agricola con vivaio rose per esterni.
Vittorio Rech established his nursery in 1997 after working for many years as a nursery gardener in different important companies where he learned to grow roses and other types of plants.
It is after visiting the markets in Germany, Holland and Denmark, where he learned innovative tecniques in this sector, that he decides to experience coltivation independently and to start up his own nursery.
With great enthusiasm and with the support of his family he began to build his nursery and for about two years he cultivated chrysanthemums in vases and for cutting; after this period he turned to coltivation of Landscape roses.
Great passion and satisfaction comes from the cultivation of these wonderful ground covering roses, which prove to be very strong and that create a very impressive scenery.
The roses grown in Vittorio Rech's nursery will surprise you for their colors, their shades and for their adaptability to gardens, parks and green areas along the streets of your city!
Rose Cultivation
The autumn season is a crucial moment for the cultivation of roses; the health and beauty of these plants depend on the transactions carried out in this period.
The best time for planting roses coincides with that of the absence of leaves unless using plants that are grown in pots. For best results, the planting of the roses is done in late winter, when the temperatures are increaseing thus encouraging development of leaves and roots.
Roses are very long-living plants that can live for decades, therefore their cultivation can be very rewarding. Depending on where you would like plant them, the choice of the most suitable variety of rose must be well thought over. In order to have a good choice and lots of useful information and suggestions you should contact specialized nurseries.
Rose Cultivation
When you have decided where to plant your roses, you must make sure that during the previous 2-3 years other roses have not been coltivated in the same area . If you intend to plant them in the same area, replace at least 30 cm of soil or leave the land aside to rest for at least one year.
Use mature manure as fertilizer; it is the ideal fertilizer because it brings both humus and good fertilizer soil. Alternatively you can use other organic materials (dry leaves, peat, ...) added to the delayed-release fertilizers Shorten the branches up to the woody part and eliminate those that are too thin or malformed.
Before planting, do not expose to air the roots of fresh roses and remove broken or damaged roots. The most common cause of failure in growing new roses is the wrong planting procedure. Also keep in mind that roses do not tolerate water stagnation. If the soil does not drain well you must create an artificial drainage by using gravel. Dig a hole big enough to accommodate the well-opened root system and cover with soil to the right depth so that the rose is at the right level with the ground. Press the earth filling. Water repeatedly in order to eliminate the air pockets that may subsequently cause the lowering of the rosebush.
Pruning is the most delicate phase of the cultivation of roses. It should be performed mainly before the vegetative growth, ie at the end of January or February.
Pruning:
- Contains the size of the plant;
- Stimulates new basal growth ;
- Removes dead and malformed branches;
- Channels the nourishment to fewer stalks for less flowers, but bigger and nicer ones.
